Introduction

The goal of this resource is to provide comprehensive documentation which highlights information about data sets that are used through the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). Data sets are organized into categories which correspond to their use by divisions and teams. Navigating through the documentation, you can investigate particular data sets and their attribute tables and quickly access the data sets and download in numerous formats to conduct your own analysis.

Along with minimizing the time needed to find and start using data sets, the catalog can also serve as a platform for discovery and way to more easily relate data sets in order to uncover new insights. This documentation can also provide a comprehensive introduction to the data infrastructure at SDOT for new employees.

As the data changes ownership, moves to a new location, loses its currency or has any updates during its life cycle - this documentation will be continually edited to reflect those changes.
