High Collision Locations, 2011-2016
Description
The high collision program evaluates the top locations in the city that experience a high number of crashes. There are five categories: signalized intersections, unsignalized intersections, midblock segments, pedestrian locations, and bike locations. Each of these has a certain criteria for number of crashes for a location to make the HCL list:
| Type | Collision Criteria |
|---|---|
| Signalized Intersections | 10 or more reported collisions in the previous calendar year. Non-signalized Intersections - 5 or more reported collisions in the previous calendar year. |
| Midblock Locations | 10 or more reported collisions in the previous calendar year. |
| Pedestrian Locations | 5 or more reported pedestrian collisions in the previous three calendar years |
| Bike Locations | 5 or more reported bike collisions in the previous three calendar years. |
