Collisions
Description
All collisions provided by SPD and recorded by Traffic Records since 1/1/2003. This includes all types of collisions. Collisions will display at the intersection or mid-block of a segment.
All collisions reported to Seattle PD are uploaded into Hansen and are geolocated into the Collisions layer. These collision features are spatially located at either the intersection they occurred at or at the center midblock of the segment that they occurred on (not where they occurred on the block). Collisions that do not occur in the SDOT ROW are not included in this data set. Collision data typically has a one month lag period between incidence and upload due to SPD, WASDOT, and SDOT processing, though high priority collisions (fatality or large scale incidents) may be processed within a day or two after incident.
