Intersections

Description

The Street Network Database (SND) is a representation of the physical, land based, improved, travel pathway infrastructure and associated theoretical address ranges. The pathway representation consists of Segments and Intersection elements. An Intersection is a point graphic element representing a Physical Intersection or an Alias Intersection or both. A physical intersection feature represents the location of joining or termination of a separate physical travel pathway. An alias intersection feature represents the location along a Segment where the non-physical feature (that partially defines the alias intersection) would be projected to cross the segment, (which also partially defines the alias intersection). Alias Intersections are not termination endpoints for segments, however they may be coincident with physical intersections that are segment termination endpoints. SNDINTR is a point feature class representing the SND Intersection Feature. Alias Intersection object will be represented within the Common Place Name layer.
